Australian Delegation Visits Isfahan

ISFAHAN Australian Minister of Trade Tim Fischer, in Iran at the head of a high ranking delegation, yesterday visited the encient city of Isfahan. The Australian delegation visited famous historical sites of the ancient city including Imam and Sheikh-Lotfollah mosques, Aali-Qapoo, Qeisarieh, bazaar, Chehel-Sotoun as well as Khajoo and Allah-Verdikhan bridges. The Australian delegation's visit to Iran is aimed at pursuing the gas pipeline construction project and also increasing Australian export of wheat to Iran. The visit is the first by a minister of Australian government in seven years.

Fischer and his accompanying delegation were to leave Isfahan last night. (IRNA)
